EROTICISM & VIOLENCE
Eroticism; reveals that the existence of the individual in this world is a whole consisting of the inner world and the environment as life. Eroticism liberates our life full of pressures and makes it easier for the individual to endure the difficulties of life. Since this liberating world is eroticism; the art of painting will also express the life of the person with eroticism. Because art can only realize the power of enduring life and rebellion - the idea of living until exhaustion - (being against the act of suicide) by basing it on eroticism. If eroticism offers a liberating world, this is because of the existence of the concept of eroticism's opposition to prohibition. In short, eroticism is opposition to prohibition. For this reason, an art discipline that is erotic - figurative painting - carries the idea of rebellion within itself. Figurative painting cannot be separated from eroticism. Because the basis of figurative painting is eroticism. It is a fact that the body is erotic. So what is eroticism? Eroticism is a psychological research separate from the anxiety of having children, which is the natural purpose of reproduction. The human and human body is a tool for eroticism and since figurative painting is connected to eroticism, it is not far from violence. Eroticism and violence are in a parallel psychological state. Therefore, these two concepts are intertwined with violence. The idea that sexual desire and murder form the basis of our depictions of death and life causes us to evaluate figurative painting within an existential perspective. Because existence has not been formed in humans outside of passion. On the contrary, existence cannot be thought of outside of acts of passion. Perversion and rebellion, these two sharp edges, have been a problematic that is urgently examined whether in Sarte, Camus or Bataille. Pleasure and pain, perversion and rebellion, death and life are a combination of opposite concepts. As a result, a painting discipline that depicts the body cannot be separated from eroticism and its destructive problems and constructive vital facts. In this respect, figurative painting is sexual as a biological value as well as a social one.
